An 80' railroad car I had delivered from Fairbanks during filming of "Into the Wild." We dragged it into place to create a bridge. At the time we had to break the ice to do so. This took a chainsaw, an auger, a D8 Caterpillar with a winch, a D6 Caterpillar, a front end loader, a forklift, a fish permit, a river permit, several location agreements, a case of beer and some moose steaks.

This all begs the question: Who is this guy, and why does he have a website?

My name is John Jabaley and I'm a Location Manager and member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 399.

Location Managing entails figuring out what the director and designer want, and then finding something the Producer will pay for in the real world. Once that's done I act as the interface between the film crew and the community, and keep the crew happy regardless of their surroundings.

I'm also a classically trained "character actor" and member of the Screen Actor's Guild. (Being a "character actor" means I never get the girl, don't get paid a lot and I say things like "they went thatta-way")(But I also get to die, and not have teeth, scratch myself and use funny accents, so it works out in the end.)

I'm probably best known (on the internet anyway) for a one-episode appearance as Xander's friend "Tito" on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." You can see the rest of my acting credits on my
resume page
. Also, here's a link to an MP3 of me singing
If I Were a Deep One
from "A Shoggoth on the Roof."

To see production photos, go to the
Gallery.

The links, by and large, have nothing to do with show business. I try to keep them updated.

I'm a member of
Theatre Banshee
and we're currently producing the U.S. premiere of a new play by Gary Mitchell called "Loyal Women." It closes December 2nd. In the spring we'll be producing "Of Mice and Men." If the AMPTP hasn't come to terms on internet usage by then I should have time to be in it.
